Education, Training and Certifications

Andrea received her Speech Pathology and Audiology undergraduate degree at Western Michigan University and Masters of Arts degree at Wayne State University for Speech Language Pathology. Since being awarded the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)’s Certificate of Clinical Competence over ten years ago, she has worked exclusively with adults and loves making each moment personalized.

In addition to providing voice treatment to clients with Parkinson’s Disease, she also enjoys helping others learn how to overcome their new communication, thinking, remembering and eating/swallowing problems due to onset of dementia, stroke, voice injury/misuse and concussions through speech therapy.

She also offers her consultation service to help the whole family determine the need for and to navigate local services with a clear, concise plan.

My Voice Speech Therapy is the only Kalamazoo-based in-home service providing specialized support and speech therapy for those with Parkinson’s Disease, dementia, stroke, aphasia, dysphagia, swallowing changes, and memory changes.
