Join the Hope in Every Step Book Club
A Deep Dive into "A Prescription for Action: Ending Parkinson’s Disease"
The Michigan Parkinson’s Foundation is launching an exciting Virtual Book Club during the weeks leading up to their Friday April 25th, 2025 Hope in Every Step Symposium! Their Virtual Book Club is a great opportunity to explore Dr. Michael S. Okun’s book, A Prescription for Action: Ending Parkinson’s Disease, found here and discuss key ways to advocate, take action, and improve the lives of those affected by PD.
How It Works
The book club is divided into three virtual discussions, each covering a different section of the book. Whether you're living with Parkinson’s, a care partner, or simply passionate about advocacy, you’re invited to join.

Don’t Miss the 2025 Hope in Every Step Symposium!
The Book Club is a great way to start important conversations about Parkinson’s advocacy, but it doesn’t stop there. The discussions will lead up to the Michigan Parkinson’s Foundation’s 2025 Hope in Every Step Symposium, a day-long, in-person event focused on education, community support, and action for people living with Parkinson’s, their care partners, and advocates.
The symposium will feature the author Dr. Michael S. Okun as the keynote speaker, alongside expert-led sessions covering the latest in PD research, treatment options, and practical strategies for living well with Parkinson’s.
Learn more and register for their symposium here: 2025 Hope in Every Step Symposium here.
Whether you participate in the book club, the symposium, or both, these events are a valuable opportunity to connect, learn, and take action within the PD community.
