Good Faith Effort
The No Surprises Act
When you schedule a speech therapy service with us, we will provide you a Good Faith Estimate of the cost of our service.
-
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate of their charges, in writing, at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. *This process may look different based on the provider’s relationship with your insurance carrier.
-
In short, if you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
-
Make sure to save a copy or, per the CMS guidelines, take a picture of the Good Faith Estimate that was provided to you.
