Social Media can be a place to connect, learn, and share resources. In 2020, as Andrea was creating her private practice for people with Parkinson’s, social media was a wonderful place network and share helpful information. Andrea quickly identified the need for sharing “the speech side” of Parkinson’s with stories, science, and everyday examples of voice, swallowing and thinking changes. Her content balances clarity with empathy, offering posts that are lighthearted, serious, and supportive all at once.
She has created a series of short-form visual and audio content created to raise awareness about voice, speech, thinking and swallowing changes in Parkinson’s. Posts (see below for examples) include infographics, video reels, reflections, and captions designed to educate, uplift, and encourage meaningful conversation within the Parkinson’s community. Instead of promoting products, she helps people find their voice.
